Being lazy or feeling lethargic all the time is not good at all. If you are working a high number of hours and then get tired, that’s natural as the body needs to take rest. But what about the people who feel tired all the time without doing any work? What about the people who don’t feel like getting up from the bed or who don’t feel the motivation to go out? Are they just making excuses or are they really facing something which is not visible to this eye of ours? There cannot be the same explanation for everyone.
While some people feel physically tired all the time which a sign of medical conditions like diabetes can be, obesity or even cancer but most of the procrastinators are just exhausted mentally. Today, I am going to share an easy to follow guide with you so that you can kick out laziness from your life.
How To Get Rid of Laziness Instantly in 5 Ways:
1. Get Up And Get Going:
I know, I know that this is the problem. If people could just get up like that then they wouldn’t have been categorized as being lazy in the first place. But this is literally the first step to overcome your laziness. You will have to start doing something in the first place to actually start breaking this inertia. Start with something simple, like taking a nice cold shower

Yes cold! A warm shower may be good for you but if you aren’t sick then a cold shower is the best and should be the first step. It increases blood flow and also increases your metabolism. Don’t do anything else just enjoy the cold drops.
2. Reflect:
The cold shower not only increases metabolism but also helps initiate the thought process. Lethargy and inactivity can negatively impact your activities, but as soon as you start moving and give time to yourself, it kicks back in. Think about all the chores that are pending and you will suddenly realize how much time you have wasted.
While in the shower make an outline in your mind as to what you will be doing once you get out of the bathroom. This outline should be very clear and precise in your mind. Because once you get out, sticking to it will be your utmost priority.
3. Prioritize and Improvise:
While reflecting and making a list of to do’s, you need to make it while understanding priorities. If something is urgent or near to the deadline then do it first. But if you don’t have anything such sort of thing then I would suggest you start with chores. It is a great way to continue the thought process. You need to keep the thought process active in the back of your mind and continue doing your work.
Keep the track of time and activities while you race to outdo yourselves. Adjust the tasks accordingly and keep improvising. Don’t get stuck on a task and try to complete what you had on the list. If you got stuck on one task, then find ways to finish it or to speed up the process. Make a point to complete all the tasks and not leave them midway, as that may worsen the level of procrastination.

4. Reflect Again And Appreciate:
This step is quite necessary. At the end of the day, you need to Reflect and Appreciate. It is like cleaning the dishes after you have the food. You cannot use them again without washing them. You will soon lose the motivation to work if you don’t appreciate yourself for what you did. Even if the work is still unfinished. Even if you have messed up and were not as active as you imagined yourself to be. Always remember, if you haven’t gotten up for the shower, then the work you did would still have been incomplete. So appreciate yourself, pat your back and smile. For you are a better version of yourself today than you were yesterday. There is still time and tomorrow will be a new day full of opportunities for you to start this fight against procrastination.
5. Repeat:
Once won’t help. You need to practice doing this again and again To make a habit of getting up and repeating all the steps. You can follow the 21/90 rule to adapt these activities in your daily life. Also maintaining a journal of the tasks and left incomplete and studying how much you can do now compared to when you started would work as motivation.
Bonus:
If you still feel lethargic, then I highly recommend you start exercising and changing your diet.
A lot of factors are dependent on physical health and the nutrition our body absorbs. Involving a lot of fruits and veggies with a strict schedule will definitely help. It may seem like a lot to do. And believe me, it is. But you don’t have to do it all at once or even in a single day.
First, follow the steps above and make them a habit. Once you have it, you can move on to start exercising and eating healthy. Not only will it help in making you active but it will also help your body and mind fight diseases. You may also find exercises to be boring at first, the key is to start with an outdoor game which you like, you will start to see the benefits in a short while and finally, you won’t be categorized as lazy.
