Kick Start Your Day with these 5 Simple Habits
Morning……may not be a pleasant word to hear for a majority of the population. We hate moving out of the bed and go to office, school or college seems like a big feat to accomplish. We find it very difficult to show up in front of our boss and quite impossible to get through the day. Due to increased stress levels and hectic life, people are working harder than ever, earning more and more but are still unhappy. So why is that? Why do most people feel like calling a day off even when the day has just begun? Most people don’t know that the way you start your day also decides how you will get through it. Today, I am going to share with you 5 simple habits that will help you kick start your day and also to get through it. Have a look.
How to Start Your Day With These 5 Simple Habits:
Move on the Groove
Put on some music. If you feel very lethargic in the morning and find it hard to take the step out of your bed, then putting on some music would be a great idea. Music is known to curb lethargy and increase productivity. You can use music during your morning routine workout and yes it also means that you need to start a workout if you are already not doing it.
There are also several types of music therapies of which you can learn online and can use it. You don’t always need a professional instructor for this. Moving on the grooves is something, I am sure, we all have done.
A Nice Warm Shower
We all shower every day, but have you ever thought of it as a therapy? No? No worries, you can start now. We are busy. Let’s admit it, we are getting more and more busy as we are moving ahead with development. So instead of enjoying our shower, we just rush it as fast as we can. Take some time, set the temperature of the water which is most suitable for you. Enjoy the droplets falling on your body, enjoy the feeling and be there for at least some minutes. Some people have the habit of taking long showers, though good for body and mind but not for the environment. Try to save water please, a humble request. Taking some time out of your busy schedule is a tough task, I understand but try this for at least a week and see the changes.
Don’t Rush Your Breakfast
When you are trying different ways to start your day as best as possible, you need to keep this key-point in mind. Don’t Rush or Skip your Breakfast! It is also considered as one of the most important meals of the day. It is quite necessary that you make time for it. You need to have lots of energy and eating a balanced breakfast will help you get it. Don’t try to rush it, chew it slowly, try to break it down as much as you can before you swallow it.

Get Up and Get Out
Trust me, most of the struggle is all about getting out of your bed and on your feet. If you start thinking as to why you should get out of bed and is it really necessary and all the questions in the world, you will find an excuse to stay tucked in. And you will regret it later in the day. When you wake up, try to get out of your bed as soon as possible. Also try to get out of your house if you still feel sleepy. Go for a job or a brisk walk. If you keep hitting that snooze button, it will just hinder your progress and nothing else. Try to keep your alarm clock, phone or whatever device you use for alarm, at least 2-4 meters away from your bed. So even if you want to hit the snooze button, you will have to get up.

Write, Think and Reflect
Whenever you are enjoying your weekend coffee, you can use this time to also jot down all the things that have been bothering you. Use a personal and separate notebook to write down and ponder over it later. You need some alone time to think and reflect on it. Once you have the list prepared, start busting down all the items on the list. When you are working on your list, notice all the issues which will try to hinder your progress, jot them down as well. Take them out one by one. After some time you will notice a change in your thinking pattern and behavior. Instead of getting all stressed out due to some problem, you will find yourself solving them right away. A stress-free mind is necessary for a sound sleep which will also keep you bright throughout the day.
So these were some of the ways that I wanted to share about starting your day. We all face many problems in our life, and they won’t stop. You will need to help yourself as you can’t depend on anyone to do it for you. Also don’t lose hope. The journey may seem arduous and long, but it will be worth it.
I hope it helped. Do let us know in the comments section how your experience was and what all steps you adopted mentioned above. Thanks for reading!
