Effects of depression may have got you to the lows of your life, but the motivation to come out lies within you. We usually recommend a lot of things to make you feel better, but this post is definitely different. Apart from placing motivational quotes, songs to come out of depression and movies you can love, there is more to life. One of them is indeed the challenge for you that is going to make you proud of yourself.
Task 1: Get Out Of Bed Today
Consider it as your first step of the day. Bring a change within you and no matter what, leave your bed today. Begin with leaving the bed for a few hours and do something. Look out of the window and stretch yourself a bit; there is so much waiting for you.
For God’s sake, leave your bed alone 😛
“Good or bad day. It’s your morning decision.”
So we would advise you to take this decision wisely.
Task 2: Brush Your Teeth
You must have read it in your nursery books that brushing teeth is very essential to keep germs away. Well, brushing teeth also brings freshness as well as compels you to eat delicious food. Brushing is a whole bunch of freshness in itself.
After that, SMILE, because it lets your teeth breathe.
Task 3: It’s The Meal Time
Wait, where are you going? Do not even think of getting back to your bed once again. Hats off for completing these important tasks, but how about having a good meal now? Think of delicious pancakes and maple syrup, whole-wheat sandwiches or a glass of fresh juice.
Now either you prepare it, order it or step out of the home to a nearby cafe and grab it. Whatever it is, just do it!
Task 4: ‘Shower’–Let Shower Drops Hover Its Love
Now I am sure I don’t need to tell you the countless benefits of taking a shower. All I know is that it is the best place to talk to your shampoo bottles, sing a song loudly and finally keeping yourself neat & clean.
While a part of me wants to tell you to save water, but i suggest otherwise. If you are reading this blog, I am sure you understand what needs to be done next. Yes, take a shower NOW!
Task 5: Time To Clean Your Room
If you can clean up the mess around you, you can declutter the chaotic mess in your mental space as well.Trust me! If you do not feel like doing it as a task, take it up as a challenge, be it , folding all the sheets to dusting off desks..
Finally, sip a cup of coffee in your cleanroom and tell us if you are feeling any different or not. I am sure the answer is Yes.
Task 6: Hop Out For A Walk
Daylight is the best time to go out for a walk. If you don’t like it, for now, take a walk in the evening. A long walk exposes your thoughts to various things around you. Kids playing in the park, people enjoying with their friends or even birds flying in the sky. Make sure you are trying to divert your mind towards the surroundings rather than overthinking what’s in the head.
We would say that if you are able to reach up to this task, you are a better version of yourselves! Hats off and keep up the spirit.
Task 7: Practice Some Breathing Exercise
Alright, I accept that this one is a little typical. Now you must be thinking, why? I am already breathing! But what I am telling you is to sit in one place, calm your mind, concentrate, and breathe deep.
When you are doing it, you can actually clear your head. Feel it! It may take a few days or even months to come into a state of free mind but buck up!
Task 8: Drink Enough Water
So this one is my last push on you. Don’t care about the weather outside but just have 7-8 glasses of water for the whole day.
