Don’t try to fix things broken in the past, create something better for the future. Once you have faith in yourself you will be able to shift your energy in creating what you want instead of worrying about controlling what you cannot.

How to Think Positive Thoughts:

It’s hard to stop negative thoughts but it not impossible. You just need to shift your focus to positive thoughts and avoid going down the spiral of negativity.

Here are some things you can do to shift from negative thoughts. They worked for me:

1. Start Your Day With a Positive Thought

How you start your day decides how you’ll feel. Start the day with something positive, like going for a walk, meditation all this will help calm you down.

2. Meditate

Mediation is the reset button that helps find peace and reduces stress Each morning if you meditate you will be able to clear negativity from your life. This means you’ll have a clean slate with a refreshed outlook to see things differently.

3. Find Humor in Even The Worst Situations

Be lenient with yourself and try to experience humor in even the darkest situations. Remember this moment will make a story try to crack a joke. So that you remember it for the funny thing, not for the worse.

4. Note Down Positive Thing That Happens in Your Life

Appreciation helps to see the good and positive things you have in life. (It doesn’t matter how small things are, everything counts.) Being thankful for things you have helped stay positive. There’s no way you start comparing yourself with others when you are satisfied.

5. Eat Healthily

The food you eat not only affects your weight it also influences your mood and how you feel. Start your day with a proper breakfast it helps prevent blood sugar drop and elevates mood.

6. Exercise Regularly

Another important thing you should do to stay positive is to live a healthy and fit life. Regular exercising boosts mood releases stress and makes you feel better.

7. Listen To Music

Music is the biggest stress reliever, listening to the right music helps find positivity. Yes, there are songs that helps fight negativity.

When you listen to music, it affects your nervous system positively and reduces anxiety. Make a go-to playlist for whenever you need a mood booster. Play your favorite song and stay positive.

8. Share Your Problems

Since we are in this situation, we cannot find an appropriate solution for it. Therefore, share your problems with a mindful person can work like medicine. Share your worries and problems with the person you trust. Sharing a problem helps identify the root cause and find a better solution.

9. Focus on What Matters to You

Everyone has values but knowing and acknowledging them matters. It makes your life easier; you can plan, make a decision using your values.

For example, if you value your family but spend most of the time working away from home, you’ll feel stressed. Also, it will impact your work negatively. Therefore, you need to focus on what matters and make a balance. Values influence how we think and make decisions.

10. Be Kind

A deed of Kindness will make you feel happy and less stressed.

Kindness is contagious if someone is kind to you, you’ll try everything to pay it. This chain goes on. If you are struggling with positive energy find something to be thankful for, do a good deed you’ll experience relief.

11. Give some time to yourself

We feel miserable because we give more importance to materialistic things than we do on the wellbeing of our souls.

For example – If your job makes you unhappy, what you do to fight negativity?

Do you give yourself some time? Do you have spare time to focus on your passion, hobbies?

We often forget that if we have the energy to do the eight hours job for a little reward of salary, we can easily spare some time to do what we really enjoy doing.

Remember Like Attracts Like.

If you hate your job, but all you do is work you will be unhappy.

Take a break, plan a holiday for pure pleasure, you will start looking forward for spending those holidays than being anxious about everything else.

12. Stop Self Pity

Negative self-talk or self-pity is so deep-rooted in us that it becomes hard to see anything positive. When you find yourself doing this pause, take a deep breath and try to replace negative thoughts with positive ones.

For instance: replace I cannot do it with ‘I can, and I just need to work harder and learn’.

Trust the Universe You will change to become better

Once you decide you need to take action, you’ll be able to move from your negativity thoughts. During this journey remember No one is perfect, we all are learning. The only thing we can do is avoid reading fake self-help books like things to do before eating, twenty things successful people do, etc. Because there are no rules to do things. It’s all a lie, faster you realize better it is.
